The 2025–2026 financial year is officially in the books, and what a year it’s been.
It hasn’t been without its curveballs. The back half of the financial year brought real global and economic uncertainty, from the conflict in Iran and its flow-on effects on oil prices, through to the Federal Budget handed down earlier this year. Understandably, that combination gave buyers and sellers plenty to think about, and we’ve seen the market soften slightly as a result. But here’s the thing: people still need to move. They still need to buy, sell, and invest, and the results below prove that Ipswich real estate remained genuinely strong through it all.
Across the past 12 months, the NGU Ipswich team listed 1,106 properties, achieved 871 sales, and facilitated an incredible $833.75 million in property transactions. Our property management team also welcomed 139 new managements and successfully rented 177 properties, continuing to deliver outstanding service to landlords and tenants across the region.
These aren’t just impressive numbers. They represent hundreds of families finding their next home, investors growing their portfolios, and sellers achieving outstanding results. Behind every sale, rental, and new management is a team of dedicated professionals working together with one shared goal: delivering the best possible outcome for every client.
We are seeing the market shift towards more balanced conditions, with buyers having a little more say than they did over the last couple of years. But let’s not forget: sellers have had an incredible run. Anyone who’s sold in the last two years has genuinely reaped the rewards of a strong market, and that value isn’t disappearing overnight. It’s simply a new chapter, and one we’re ready for.
The Athanates team also enjoyed another exceptional financial year, recording 174 listings, 153 sales, and $171.47 million in property sold, contributing strongly to the office’s overall success.
